Our Alumni organization is proud to support scholarships for students in commissioning programs at the Oregon State University NROTC Unit. The scholarships are awarded to deserving students at the Spring Awards Ceremony and may be used for tuition, fees, books, room and board, or other school related expenses. We have been able to award three scholarships at $3,000 each for the past several years from donations from alumni and an endowment fund as explained below.

The scholarship funds are held by the Oregon State University Foundation in two related accounts: The NROTC Alumni Scholarship Fund and the NROTC Alumni Scholarship Endowment Fund. You may donate to the funds at

any time.

The Scholarship Fund is the spendable account and money from this account pays the scholarships. The Scholarship Endowment Fund provides a revenue stream to the Scholarship Fund at a rate of 4% of the endowed balance. Funding for the scholarships also depend on direct yearly donations, since the Endowment fund would presently provide for about $3500 in scholarships.

Our current goal is to raise the endowed balance to $250,000 to support awarding at least three scholarships at $3000 each in perpetuity.
