"Best in the West...and the Rest"

STORIES & ARTICLES

We are blessed with many NROTC Beavs who have recollections worth sharing from their years at OSU and their service in the fleet or the Corps.  Hit the keyboard and send those recollections to us.  YOU are the reason for this website.  Minus your input, why do this?

Don Williams, a 1971 OSU NROTC grad, has written three "pieces" that are great additions to our website.  See below for the links:

Don's been a close friend of mine for 50-some years.  We share being SAE fraternity brothers even if he happened to be Class of '71 and I graduated in 1965.  Don has a rather illustrious record of getting stuff done as a leader in high-profile roles.  I describe him here.

He joins a handful of NROTC peers who have been willing (and able) to capture some aspect of their time at OSU as Midshipmen or of their service as Naval or Marine officers.  NOTE: in Don's case, the tragic intervention of Fate denied him the opportunity to serve.

Segue...

This website has no reason to exist if scores of you don't send us your recollections and/or your photos, etc.  If you aren't motivated to do that, why should we be motivated to keep doing this?  A dry hole is a dry hole.  If you all don't care, then why should we care?

When you run into placeholder photos and placeholder text in Latin (it's called "Lorem Ipsum"), that's why.  On the other hand, YOU need to send us photos you have (lurking in your attic, etc) so we can incorporate them into the class slideshows.  Here's hoping.
